General 

  • What are your opening hours?
    Please see more details about the café & bar for opening times. 

  • How do I find you?
    We are in St Neots town centre, just off the Market Square in St Neots and you’ll find us on the corner next to Steve’s taxi’s and opposite Nawab Indian restaurant and Bosphorus Turkish restaurant. There is a map on our contact page.

  • Do you have parking?
    No we don’t have parking but you can park in the Market Square or other car parks within St Neots.

  • Do you do takeaway?
    You can order some of our cakes, breads, bakes and afternoon teas online for collections on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

  • Are you dog friendly?
    Yes, we are very dog friendly!

  • Do you have outdoor seating?
    Yes we do, we have a secret garden with outdoor seating.

  • Is there an access ramp?
    Yes, we have an access ramp through our garden. Ring the bell near the steps and the front and we can let you in through the side gate.

  • Do you do private hire?
    We can do private hire in the main room on days when we aren’t open to the public. Please get in touch on 01480 472683 to find out more.

  • Do you sell gift vouchers?
    Yes we do and they are valid for one year. You can either purchase one in person or online.

  • Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
    We are able to accommodate for special requests and we usually have homemade cakes that are vegan and made without gluten. We always recommend you get in touch in advance to let us know so that we can avoid any disappointment. Please be aware that we do bake in a kitchen that contains nuts, seeds, dairy products, eggs, flour as well as other allergens.

  • Do you do outside catering?
    We can do outside catering. Please get in touch via email to find out more.

  • What is your guidance on COVID-19?

  • Can I book a table?
    When we are open, we take bookings for inside which can be booked online, in person or by giving us a call on 01480 472683. If you want to sit in the garden, this is on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Do you cater for group bookings?
    Due to the restrictions around Covid-19, we can only accommodate small groups as outlined by the government.

  • Do you do cocktail masterclasses?
    Yes we do, please get in touch on 01480 472683 or email info@elsiemays.co.uk to find out more.

  • Is your food homemade?
    Yes. Our food is simple and wholesome using the best local ingredients we can find from our local suppliers.

Afternoon tea

  • Why do I have to pre-book afternoon high teas?
    All our food is homemade and we like prepare cakes especially for the afternoon high tea which is why we ask for 48 hours notice to prepare for both eat-in and takeaway.

  • Can you accommodate for special requests for afternoon teas?
    We will do our best to accommodate for special requests as long as we’re aware in advance.

  • Is there a minimum order?
    There is no minimum order except for deliveries to towns and villages outside of St Neots where there is a minimum order of £12.

  • Can I add a gift message?
    Yes you can add a gift message before you checkout.
     
  • Can I make a change to my order?
    Unfortunately we can’t usually make a change once your order is in being made however please email us at info@elsiemays.co.uk and we’re do our best to help. 

  • I’ve got an issue with my order, what should I do?
    Get in touch via email at info@elsiemays.co.uk or call us on 01480 472683 and we’d be happy to help. 

  • I’m not happy with my order, can I get a refund? 
    We’re sorry to hear you’re not happy with your order. Get in touch and we’ll do our best to sort this our for you. For more information on refund, please see our refunds page. 

  • Do you do mail order ?

    We don't do mail order yet but we're hoping to soon.

  • When can I collect my order?
    You can collect your order on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays - choose the best day and time when you the checkout. We request 48 hours notice as everything is prepared and made to order.
